MSG Ryan Hastings
Military Science Department Senior Military Instructor Military Science - ROTC- Biography
MSG Ryan J. Hastings was born in Milwaukee, WI. He enlisted into the active Army in January of 2004. He attended Infantry and advanced individual training at Fort Benning, GA. Upon completion of training, he attended the U.S Army’s Airborne school and the 75th Ranger Regiment’s Ranger indoctrination program.
MSG Hastings was assigned to 2nd Ranger Battalion at Joint Base Lewis McChord in Washington State in July of 2004. He held positions from Rifleman to Platoon Sergeant from 2004-2016. In July of 2016, MSG Hastings served in the 75th Ranger Regiment Headquarters as the Recruitment NCOIC. In 2018, he was assigned to 4th Battalion, Ranger Training Brigade as a Company 1SG. In 2019, he worked in Army Acquisitions for the Solider Lethality Cross Functional Team at Fort Benning, GA.
MSG Hastings graduated from West Bend West High School and has some college at Military University. His Military education includes Airborne School, Ranger indoctrination Program, Ranger School, ER Medical Tech Basic Course, Joint Trauma Management course, Advanced Leaders Course, Jumpmaster, Senior Leaders course, Ranger assessment and Selection program II, and the Capabilities and Development course.
MSG Hastings notable awards are the Bronze Star with V, Bronze Star with two oak leaf clusters, Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal.
MSG Hastings is married to Danielle Hastings and together they have five kids, Aidan, Riley, Isabella, Emma and Elyse.
